Position Title: Junior Education Policy Analyst
Salary Scale: $35,000 – $50,000 annually
Location: Grand Council Treaty #3 Administrative Office
Closing Date: November 15, 2017
 
The Junior Education Policy Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analysis of federal and provincial legislation, regulations and policy direction in areas applicable to the Treaty #3 Territory in order to identify emerging issues regarding challenges and opportunities that may affect the communities of Grand Council Treaty #3. The JR EPA will prepare proposals and reports, coordinate program related projects, and facilitate meetings with stakeholders as required. The JR EPA will prepare communications materials, policy briefs and newsletter articles and product development as required.
 
Qualifications: Completion of a university degree baccalaureate and three years of related experience, or an advanced/professional degree and two years of experience in related policy work. Knowledge of Education policies, programs and services in the Treaty #3 Territory. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS outlook. Punctual, meticulous and reliable with courteous manners to the public. Proficient spoken and written English with an understanding of the Anishinaabe language. Ability to communicate in Ojibwe is considered an asset.
